If you're from Penang, and from my generation, i'm sure you know what happened and what i'm talking about.
If not, please come out from that tempurung la.

I wasn't close to her, but i knew her. the smiles we exchanged back in school, primary and secondary. but yet, i am shaken about what happened.
no, it's not about the fact that "just because she was the all-rounder perfect girl" rattled us ex-MGSians and current ones. it rattled everyone however remote or close we were to her. a life, just ended like that. with absolutely no fault on her part! countless blogs have this exact same agenda on their most recent "blog" posts. (i refuse to call this my blog, pssh.)
maybe some of you are asking or wondering, everyone is writing about her, what is the big fucking deal?
IT IS A BIG FUCKING DEAL.
how many of us travel by konsortium? my dad does every few weeks down to kl. i did a few weeks back. what if it were my dad? what if it were me? what if it were you?
konsortium's screwed as far as the northern region is concerned. i bet they're getting pressed indignantly by the public. the govt? haha, fat chance. the govt is prolly only concerned because of the public pressure. i don't have to explain what wrong the bus driver (and thus, vicariously konsortium) has done, just read the article. konsortium has the greatest amount of accidents amongst it's competitors. true, that travelling has it's risk, just like travelling in a car/plane/boat/horse. but the cause of nian ning's lost is not innocent or technical, whatever. sms-ing? someone died over an sms? did that sms cure aids? was it SO important? as a bus driver, as long as u passed that special driving licence thing would mean you posses a normal functioning brain to know that you are trusted with the lives on board. hell, THINK, self-serving bastard.
worst is, it took nian nings life to rouse the public of these evasions of regulations (i admit, i'm part of this 'public'). which in turn 'enlightened' the govt (however concerned they are). when it comes to "threats" of "national security" (i.e the slightest teeniest peaceful protest/rallying) *poof* police are quick on the spot. all that is needed are regular checks that road regulations are followed. just like the regular police road blocks at the PSC road.
konsortium ppl, *grunt*. i hope they have nightmares every day of their life. woo! your daughter's wedding day! *flash* the mental picture of nian ning flashes by. your hole-in-one in your golf game *flash* the mental picture of her grieving parents.
fuck 'em (i mean bus ppl)
